It&rsquo;s basically a method to take photos using untethered flashes. So I started reading David Hobby&rsquo;s series of articles collected in the <a href="http://strobist.blogspot.de/2006/03/lighting-101.html" class="external-link" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lightning 101</a>.</p> <figure><img src="https://flohei.de/media/Strobist-Versuche-001.jpg" alt="Drea behind our purple curtains with the light setup in the foreground."><figcaption> <p>Drea behind our purple curtains with the light setup in the foreground.</p> </figcaption> </figure> <p>To get started, I got the <a href="http://www.enjoyyourcamera.com/Canon-Accessories/100m-Wireless-Remote-Control-Flash-Trigger-Yongnuo-RF-602-for-Canon::2927.html" class="external-link" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yongnuo RF-602</a> wireless flash trigger, a <a href="http://www.enjoyyourcamera.com/Studio-Equipment/Lighting-Stands/Travel-Light-Stand-Konova-Nano::4846.html" class="external-link" target="_blank" rel="noopener">light stand</a>, a <a href="http://www.enjoyyourcamera.com/Studio-Equipment/Lighting-Stands/Seagull-Swivel-Head-D-Flash-Holder-for-Flash-Stands-with-5-8-Spigot::3343.html" class="external-link" target="_blank" rel="noopener">swivel</a> and an <a href="http://www.enjoyyourcamera.com/Studio-Equipment/Umbrellas/Light-Umbrella-Studio-umbrella-Quenox-33-84-cm-Transparent33-84cm-Transparent::4378.html" class="external-link" target="_blank" rel="noopener">umbrella</a>. I was not able to find the equipment suggested by David (back in 2006) in Germany so I got similar, inexpensive stuff.</p>
