I’m a software engineer based in Bavaria, Germany. These days my work has shifted from writing code to designing systems — still very much in the field, just at a different altitude.
I got into software development with .NET and C# around 2003, then worked my way through Java, C, C++ and some web techniques. When the iOS SDK came out in 2008 I jumped in, learned Cocoa (touch) and Objective-C, and never really left. I developed and maintained a few iOS apps over the years, with Swift eventually becoming my language of choice. The hobby projects I still tinker on live at heibernating.dev.
In summer 2013 I got my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Media from Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg.

This is my personal website. I use this place to write about stuff that catches my attention. Chances are, you’ll find posts about software development, tech in general, 3D printing, tinkering, smart home stuff, photography or food.
