So, for Apple’s screenless fitness tracker, I’d love to see some sort of button and indicator LED that you can use for starting and stopping a workout. You’d still need to go on your phone later to categorize the workout, but I’d much rather do that than have to deal with it in the moment. Apple could also develop a classification model based on certain factors.

While I would also love to see something like this from Apple, I don’t think they would make one with a button and an indicator. Maybe they would, but to me that doesn’t sound very Apple-like.

I also tried a WHOOP for about six weeks earlier this year. I really liked the form factor and the fact that it freed up my left wrist for a more classic watch. However, I noticed that I checked the WHOOP app less and less as the weeks went by. An Apple-based device that provides the same kind of data as an Apple Watch (including the new readiness score) and closes the rings the same way would be the sweet spot for me. And if I could make a wish, I’d go one step further and ask for an Oura-style ring.
